Each year the Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) sponsors the FAPA President's Book Awards, which recognizes book publishing excellence and creativity in design, content, and production for North American authors and publishers. Finalists for this year's awards were chosen by publishing professionals and librarians from both within and outside of Florida.
The event, which took place at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort in the Walt Disney World® Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, recognized outstanding books by awarding gold and up to two silver medals in categories ranging from children’s books to adult fiction, from memoirs to self-help, from business books to e-books.
The award winners represent some of the very best books published by national and Florida writers and presses in the past year and a half.
